About the Friends
The Friends of the Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum was founded in 1997 to save the museum from relocation and closure. Another goal was to prevent the Gustavsberg Collection from being split up and sold off. Members of the organisation have every reason to feel proud of their efforts: the museum is now part of Nationalmuseum, and its premises in Gustavsberg's old Torkhuset have been secured!
The organisation also raises funds for the museum, and donates part of its annual membership fees to cover some of the museum's special needs. Just in time for the museum's reopening, for example, the Friends of the Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum donated benches designed by TAF Studio. Thank you!
